- Shannon Brown bought the pyjamas because of the 'cute design'
- She was shocked after getting them home to see the pattern up close
- The nightwear set featured illustrations of multiple people having sex
A young woman got a shock when she tried on some recently purchased pyjamas only to discover that close up, the pattern was not the 'cute design' she thought it was.
After getting home, Shannon Brown, who is thought to be from Scotland, discovered her newly purchased PJ set from Ann Summers featured antique illustrations of multiple people having sex.
Shannon posted the image of herself wearing the pyjamas to Twitter with the caption: 'When u buy ur Pj's out of Ann summers thinking its a cute design, to go home and realise folk are shaggin all over u.'

Up close the pattern is of lots of people having sex. Ann Summers describe the print as being reminiscent of 'French romantic illustration'
The nightwear, which is available from sizes 8-18, is currently on sale at £21 down from £30 and is described as 'The Voyeur Lace Set'.
It is thought Shannon, whose post has been shared nearly 7,000 times, might have been tempted by the bargain price as, without looking close up, it is difficult to make out the exact pattern.
In fairness to Ann Summers, the retailer does hint at the pattern on the description of the pyjamas on their website.
The description reads: 'The Voyeur Lace Set is a delightful concoction of comfort and sexy rolled into one. The cami has soft sheer lace cups finished with a big bow.
'The subtle monochrome print, reminiscent of French romantic illustration, looks innocent but upon closer inspection...it's naughtier than you think.
Ann Summers website states: 'The super-soft design of this short and cami set, is made for lounging, sleeping, or as the print suggests, anything else you can think of'

However the somewhat subtle allusion to the saucy design seemed to bypass Shannon and, as it turned out, many other customers who tweeted about a similar experience.
One user sympathised: '@shannonbrown223 @ChloShaw you're not alone.'

Another laughed: '@shannonbrown223 @laurennuptonn Ahhahaha remember when I purchased these.'
One user said that the design was not just exclusive to the pyjama set, adding: '@shannonbrown223 that's the same pattern they have in some changing rooms lmfao.' < /span>
It is not known whether Shannon will be keeping the pyjamas or returning them to the shop.
When contacted by Mail Online, Ann Summers' Head of Buying, Helen Gibb, said: 'The 'Voyeur' print is unique to Ann Summers and definitely does what it says on the tin! Being unapologetically sexy is in our brand's DNA - who else could get away with it?
'This print has been so popular with our customers, it is even available on a wallpaper design, so watch out for it in a bedroom near you!'
