Hi. Would welcome some input. I'm in a SF rental and I want to do a cost-effective update. The style of our apartment is art deco as you can see from the picture. I'd like to paint + do the counter + a new floor. I have two sets of questions.
Since it's a rental, I wanted to keep it white - walls + cabinets. So I'm thinking of the folllowing
- Paint: Thinking of painting walls white matte + cabinets white gloss
- Counter: White marble with gray accents (this is where I'm stuck). Non-tiled counter is currently painted-white wood
- Tile Counter Backsplash tile: White subway tile? Current condition is not great. Sink is a pale yellow.
- Floor: Something dramatic to counter balance the all-white (hunter green, navy blue, green + white tiles)
Order of tasks:
What is the right order to do this in?
- Counter then
- then floor?
Thanks for your help.
