Here's something you don't see every day - models walking the runway with visible acne.
Malaysia-based fashion designer, Moto Guo decided to change it up a bit at Milan Men's Fashion Week by showcasing his latest collection on models with blemished skin, reported The Mirror.
Although it is unclear if the spots were real or created using cosmetics, models appeared to be bare-faced with little to no make-up as they modelled not just their clothes but their blotchy red skin and pimples too.
According to Refinery 29, Guo's been known to stretch what is considered acceptable in fashion - like his penchant for creating gender-neutral outfits using quirky stitching and an unusual combination of fabrics.
But even so, his decision to showcase "real skin" surprised people online.
Some twitter users applauded him for giving representation to a condition that is mostly ignored, some even started calling acne a trend while others felt the action was unnecessary and hurtful to those struggling with acne.
Here are some of their comments:
According to The Mirror, the collec tion titled Picnic in the Society, was mostly made up of tartan skirts and polyester shorts.
And despite the show being a men's fashion show, Guo decided to feature some outfits from the women's collection too.
