Vivian Wise, founder of Heart of Fashion, has announced Beth Muecke will take the helm as head of development for the Texas Legacy Foundation, Inc., a non-profit organization to channel a portion of the proceeds from the for-profit Heart of Fashion ticket sales to specific charities.
The announcement was made at a recent meet-and-great with Victoria Christian of Clive Christian Fragrances at Saks Fifth Avenue.
Muecke serves on the board of directors of the Houston Ballet and Hope Stone, Inc.
At the debut of Heart of Fashion in November 2015, the Texas Legacy Foundation, which Wise also founded, raised $153,000, and donated $33,000 to three charities: Legacy Community Health, Butterflys & Bandages, and Meals on Wheels.
Last month, the Heart of Fashion May Mystery Show at the Julia Ideson Library raised funds for the Lupus Foundation of America, Texas Gulf Coast Chapter. Each year the Foundation will recognize an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the world of art, fashion, photography or design with the Texas Legacy Award.
In 2015, designer Ralph Rucci presented the award to model and legendary fashion icon Carmen Dell'Orefice.
